Apple today announced its second experience of the month, taking place next Wednesday, October 28 at 10 a.m. PT. The tagline for this event is: “Pro and tell.”

Clever name, considering it’s widely expected that we’ll see the first touchscreen MacBook Pro (with an OLED display to boot) announced at this event. It’s also rumored a new iPad Mini will be announced (also with an OLED panel), a new iMac and maybe even an updated 14-inch MacBook Pro.

But perhaps more notable than what’s going to be announced next week is where it’ll be announced. Apple invited members of the press to Los Angeles. I imagine we’re going to see a lot of creators there — more than a typical Apple launch.

It’s been a busy few weeks for Apple. The event follows Apple’s Welcome Home event where its first smart display, the HomeView, was unveiled alongside a new Apple TV and HomePod Minis. Preorders for the iPhone Duo kicked off last week, with a full launch this Friday. And now we’re getting new Macs and an iPad?

Sheesh.

I still want Apple to just let me run MacOS on my iPad Pro. Maybe in June with iPadOS 28 now that we’ll have a touchscreen Mac.
