Unboxing the Fitbit Edge: First impressions of Google's new tracker
A quick look at what comes in the box and how Google's $179 tracker feels on the wrist.
Well that was fast. Google sent me a review sample of the Fitbit Edge it just announced on Monday.
I've only had it for just shy of 24 of hours, but so far, so good. It's incredibly light. To the point I almost feel like I'm not even wearing it. Changing bands was incredibly easy, the 1.34-inch display looks great and is full of info. Getting iPhone notifications on a smaller screen and lighter device is a welcome change.
It came with an 80% charge, and instead of topping it off, I'm going to let it ride. Hopefully it comes close to the estimated 7-day battery life.
More to come closer to launch. While you wait, you can preorder the Fitbit Edge right now, with delivery on Oct. 27.
Here's a quick unboxing video with everything inside the Edge's box, plus a look at two additional bands.
